WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Kristen Whitlow - 2021

Leah is a kind compassionate teacher who works with my children where they are developmentally. She builds on their strengths and challenges their weaknesses to produce growth year after year. Her classes are affordable and her methods of teaching are loved by my kids. We love the flexibility of homeschooling and appreciate all of Mrs. Leah’s hard work and dedication.  Leah shares a love for Jesus and my kids love learning in a homeschool environment where we can all love like Jesus and keep our focus on life’s most important purposes. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Leah!

My son had a great year taking algebra with Leah. He enjoyed being in a small class with other kids his age, and I enjoyed the year off from teaching math! He did great on the math portion of his yearly testing showing that he learned a lot in class and was able to retain the information he was taught. My daughter has also done classes with Leah, and enjoyed her time there!

We have had a wonderful 5th grade experience with Mrs. Leah. She makes learning fun. Tyler became more engaged and interested in learning this year. The small group and personal attention has made a big difference in his learning. Mrs. Leah’s homeschool was a wonderful option for us and we plan to continue with her again.

This was our first year with Ms Leah and it’s been a blessing. We are raising our young granddaughters after losing our daughter and we needed help with their schooling. We searched for a school situation that suited the beliefs and needs of our family. We have found our homeschool home! We love Leah, her family, and the other kids that attend. It’s a fantastic group. The small class size allows for the type of personal attention a child needs to thrive. Kayleigh has learned so much and never wants to miss a day. We are looking forward to her little sister attending next year as well. It’s a gift to feel great about the environment you leave your kids to learn and the education and care they receive.

This is my son's second year with Mrs. Leah and it has worked well for our family. As a home educator, I find that being accountable to other teachers, mentors, and instructors is very important in our learning process. Mrs. Leah provides a caring and safe environment for my son. He enjoys attending class and seeing his classmates. He also completes his assignments  with relatively low complaining.

My 9-year-old daughter, Eve, started tutoring with Mrs. Leah twice per week about a year ago. To provide some background, Eve has been in the public school system through elementary school, and has an Individualized Education Program (IEP) due to some special needs. At the time she began tutoring, Eve despised reading to the point where she would burst into tears over having to read a single paragraph. Mrs. Leah can tell you that I am not exaggerating. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I say it takes an act of God (plus Mrs. Leah) to get one to read. One evening, a few months into tutoring, Eve picked up her first chapter book and read independently for over HALF an hour. I was so excited that I shared the photo on FaceBook. Since then, she regularly returns home with a backpack of books from the school library, and she enjoys sharing the details about the stories she has read. We are beyond blessed to have Mrs. Leah as Eve’s tutor. We love her so much that we drive 35 min (one way) to meet her! Eve hates school, but she, “loves Mrs. Leah and her big hugs.” We also appreciate the fact that she is very reasonably priced, but would be willing to pay much more (shhhh don’t tell her ;)) for her services.

I am so glad that we found Mrs. Leah because my 5 year old daughter has learned to read with confidence! She is actually starting to enjoy it!  Mrs. Leah makes reading fun for her for example, giving her little challenges with sight words or books and winning a prize out of the treasure box is always motivating! I really appreciate all she has done, she is flexible and affordable, anyone needing a reading tutor she is your lady!

Having Leah to teach math has been wonderful! My son has done well in his EOGs and has learned the material thoroughly. It has been a really good experience and we have kept on track with math!

I have been homeschooling for years and after meeting with Leah Weber, I have found her to be extremely helpful and resourceful in her approach to homeschooling. She showed me creative ways to make education fun and exciting all while achieving the highest academic results. She succeeded in helping in the improvement of my homeschool with her extensive knowledge of education and experience with homeschooling multiple children. She answered all my questions and concerns with understanding and provided much needed advice. Since meeting with and working alonside Leah, my homeschool has greatly improved. I highly recommend her for all your homeschool needs.

I first hired Leah Weber to tutor my son when he was struggling while in public school. (There was a teaching/learning style mismatch that turned my math loving boy into one that dreaded going to that class). Her tutoring got him caught back up, re-engaged and excelling in math once again. When we decided that homeschooling was in his best interest, I was thrilled to learn that Mrs Weber was teaching Algebra 1. My son is doing well and loves her teaching style and the small class size. I highly recommend her!

My 1st grader, Mason just started tutoring with Mrs. Leah this year and it has been a blessing! He was really struggling in school, especially since his kindergarten year was mostly virtual due to COVID (he's at a local charter school). She both encourages and challenges Mason and he's truly improved in all areas of school and he ask me almost daily how many more days until he can go back to Mrs. Leah's. I'm so thankful to have her as a part of our team/family! Her and her family are true blessings. Thank you Mrs. Leah!!!

Signing my daughter up for Leah Weber’s classes was absolutely the best decision we could have made.  My daughter is a fantastic student, but we would often butt heads during her lessons, particularly with math.  It made for some stressful days.  Choosing to have Leah teach completely eliminated the stress and she has excelled in pre-Algebra (as well as her other classes) and will be well prepared for next year.

While academics was our primary focus, we felt socialization was also important.  Classes with Leah has given her the opportunity to spend time with people her age and create genuine friendships.  Quality education and time with peers has made this school year successful, productive, and both mother and child are happy!

The biggest reservation I had before making the decision to commit to classes with Leah was that my work schedule is constantly changing.  However, to my relief, this ended up being a non-issue.  On the occasions when it was logistically impossible to be in class physically, Leah offered the option to zoom.  Zooming worked perfectly well on those occasions, and my daughter didn’t miss important lessons.  By offering this as an option, it alleviated the pressure on me to be able to work and homeschool.  It also gave me the opportunity to listen in on some classes.  I can attest that Leah is a competent instructor, is kind and patient, firm when necessary, and has a fantastic sense of humor.

The bottom line is that Leah provides a quality education in a homeschool environment, and has been flexible and accommodating to our needs.  My daughter loves having class here and is already looking forward to returning next year.

We highly recommend Leah Weber’s Homeschool program.  Two thumbs up and five stars for sure!
